Rostec brings mobile seaport to market

Moscow Design Bureau Compas is bringing to market a mobile multifunctional seaport, state corporation Rostec says.

The complex consists of floating berths and pontoons of various profiles, has all necessary infrastructure including communication and monitoring systems as well as independent power supply system. The port can be assembled at a new location for 25-30 days.

A multifunctional port is a complete analog of a conventional port. It has everything necessary for mooring, loading and unloading of different vessels. The complex includes a berth for general cargoes with container terminals of up to 200 meters long, pontoons-refrigerators, elevators, oil storage facilities, power pontoons with wind generators, personnel premises. Modifications are available with heliports, yacht pontoons and floatels.

The mobile port is fitted with fire fighting equipment, pumping units, etc. The complex can operate in any water bodies with depth from 2 to 100 meters under moderate sea conditions (waves of up to 1.5 m high) including tidal waters with level difference of up to 6 m.

The complex has undergone all required tests. The interest to it has been expressed by a number of companies and BRICS countries, the statement says.
