Containerships informs about Russian ban on certain commodities

Following the decision of Russian Authorities on 07th of August 2014 to ban certain commodities (appendix 1) from EU countries, Norway, USA, Canada and Australia, Containerships informs clients about the following:
- As per Federal Customs order (appendix 2 – article 5) banned goods that were discharged on Russian territory after Government order must be immediately evacuated from Russian territory.
- Containerships will therefore not discharge any container containing banned commodities (“banned containers”) onto Russian territory at St. Petersburg, Ust Luga or any other port.
- Containerships will proceed to returning these “banned containers” to the port of loading on which the container was loaded on board of Containerships vessels.
- Costs related to returning “banned containers” will be passed forward to it's customers.
- Company's customer service staff have been briefed about how to act and will keep clients informed about the situation of each “banned container”.
