OSM Offshore AS wins contract for management of “Aquarius Brasil”
OSM Offshore AS, global independent provider of offshore management services and part of the OSM Maritime Group Ltd., agreed as of the 23rd of May 2014 a contract with Equinox Offshore ARV3 BV for full management of Safety and Maintenance Unit (UMS) “Aquarius Brasil”, the company said in its press release.
The unit is located in Campos Basis offshore Brasil and successful commencement of the operation was achieved as planned 1st of August 2014.

This contract is a significant representation of the effort put forth by OSM to strengthen their overall presence in Brasil. In conjunction with this contract OSM will establish a fully integrated office in Macae, Brasil that will be responsible for running the day-to day operations of the vessel.
The Aquarius Brasil is an integrated project management and execution center developed to facilitate all offshore asset installation and maintenance projects (also known as Safety & Maintenance Unit (UMS)). The unit provides workshops, storage spaces, offices, meeting rooms as well as extensive living and recreation facilities. The unit is a monohull diesel electric DP2 vessel, uniquely designed and equipped to provide extensive accommodation and workshop facilities to support and service offshore projects in deep water areas.
Providing accommodation facilities to comfortably house up to 450 people including its own crew and catering staff, the Aquarius Brasil is also equipped with a working platform, knuckle boom cranes, a telescopic gangway and a helideck.
After completing successful sea trials in April of last year (2013), the Aquarius Brasil has been assigned to a 5 year agreement in the Campos basin (close to the Brazilian coast line).
