Representatives of Crimea ask Russian authorities for authorization of works at anchorage No 471 of Kerch (sub-district D) under closed border regime. IAA PortNews journalist says an appropriate proposal was put forward by Yaroslav Naroditsky, Director of Crimea based Uvas-Trans Ltd., at the round table meeting “National Port Service Market Modernization” held on March 18, 2015.
According to him, Border Service of Russia’s FSB currently bans operation under closed border regime which threatens its functioning amid sanctions and shallow depth at the port’s berths.
Yaroslav Naroditsky says alongside depth is 8 meters while the depth at the anchorage is 20 meters allowing for handling of large capacity vessels not able to come to the berths.
