Facilities of Transneft Ust-Luga Port and BPS-2 were transferred to the area of responsibility of Transneft Baltic
Transneft says Industrial facilities of Transneft Ust-Luga Port, LLC and oil trunk pipelines of Baltic Pipeline System - 2 (BPS-2) were transferred to the area of responsibility of Transneft Baltic, LLC. The transfer was performed as part of the activities on optimization of industrial facilities management and diversification of oil movements supervision processes in the North-Western Region of the RF (Russian Federation).
According to the entry in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, work of new subdivisions of Transneft Baltic, LLC is organized by means of establishing two branches: Ust-Luga oil depot and Novgorod Regional Oil Pipeline Department (NRPD). The branches will start their production and administrative activities on April 01, 2016.
As the result, oil pump stations, port capacities and about a thousand kilometres of oil trunk pipelines of the BPS-2 project were added to industrial subdivisions of Transneft Baltic, LLC – from Unecha line operation dispatcher station (Bryansk Region) to the end point in Ust-Luga port (Leningrad Region).
The procedure of establishing new branches of Transneft Baltic, LLC started in 2015 after approval of the activity plan by Transneft, JSC. A number of preparatory measures were conducted, such as inventory and market-based property valuation, development of organizational and staff structures.
Finishing the activities on entering the BPS-2 facilities into the authorized capital of Transneft Baltic, LLC and purchasing facilities of Transneft Ust-Luga Port, LLC is planned in the third quarter of 2016.
