Four ships of Sakhalin Shipping Company placed under operating control of Gazprom Flot

Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) says it has placed four vessels under operating control of Gazprom Flot. On June 6, 2016 two passenger ships, Pelican Pride and Pelican Progress, moored at port Korsakov and two supply vessels, PSV Ertemis and PSV Atlas, moored at port Kholmsk. All the ships came from Singapore.

Under the contract signed by the companies, the ships were placed under operating control of Gazprom Flot LLC upon completion of customs procedures.

The ships will join the anchor handling tugs Posh Commander and Posh Champion which assisted the assisting floating drilling rigs Polyarnaya Zvezda and Severnoye Siyaniye from the Chinese port of Yantai to the north of Sakhalin.

The vessels will service the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field.

As of today, the Pelican Pride, the Pelican Progress and supply vessels are being prepared for their first voyage.
