Throughput of Rosterminalugol totaled to 6.5 mln t in Jan-May'16
In January-May 2015, Rosterminalugol OJSC (Ust-Luga, Leningrad region) handled 6,508,504.075 t against 6,864,043.565 t in the 5-month period of 2015, say the stevedoring company.
In the reported period the terminal unloaded 90,530 wagons and transshipped 6,441,539.66 t of coal onto 102 vessels.
In May, the company’s transshipped 1,602,980.079 t of coal (against 1,607,482.613 t handled in May 2015). 22,173 wagons were unloaded in May 2016 with the maximum unloading as high as 503 wagons per shift (12 hours) and 908 wagons per day.
JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Port of Ust-Luga. The Company specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal located in the Ust-Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters with depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able now to accommodate vessels of up to 240 m in length and 32 m in breadth. In 2015, coal exports via the terminal rose 13%, year-on-year, to 17.46 mln t.
