Vympel Shipyard lays down border patrol boat of project 1496М1 Lamantin for FSB coast guard (photo)
On June 24, 2015, Vympel Shipyard (Yaroslavl region) laid down border patrol boat of project 1496М1 Lamantin for FSB coast guard, the Company’s press center says.
Modernized of the project was performed by Vympel Shipyard in cooperation with Central Marine Research and Design Institute (CNIIMF).
Upgraded boat of project 1496М1 will have improved technical characteristics and meet the requirements of all boats of this class. It will be equipped with the engines produced by the Yaroslavl based engine plant. The boats engine room will have many components of Russian origin.
The boat is to be delivered to the customer in October 2017.
