Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 10% to 4.06 mln t in January 2017

In January 2017, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 4.06 mln t of cargo (+10%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 4% to 680,000 t, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 3% to 637,600 t, general cargo – up 22% to 933,200 t, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 34% to 49,900 t.

The port’s container throughput increased by 111.1% to 144,470 TEUs.

In 2016, the port handled 48.62 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 mln TEUs.
