Mats Bjorkendahl, Regional Sales Manager, Evoqua Water Technologies, presented Evoqua’s SeaCURE® Ballast Water Management System to the Russian audience at the Conference “Implementation of the BWMC in Russia” organized by Media Group PortNews with the assistance of the Russian Ministry of Transport and held in Moscow, at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, on 27 February 2017.
Evoqua’s SeaCURE® Ballast Water Management System uses a combination of filtration followed by in-situ production of biocide from seawater via electrochlorination. The SeaCURE system has evolved from the Chloropac® Marine Growth Prevention System (MGPS) to meet the IMO and USCG regulations in all three salinities.
According to Mats Bjorkendahl, SeaCURE equipment for a tanker including two pumps with capacity of 1,500 cbm per hour can cost about $450,000.
