In January-February 2017, the Port of HaminaKotka (Finland) handled 2.26 mln t of cargo (+2.5%, year-on-year). According to the port authorities, transshipment of export cargo climbed by 6.9% to 1.73 mln t including 429,520 t of paper (+0.7%), 292,310 t of cellulose (+19.1%), 382,960 t of liquid bulk cargo (+13%) and 165,650 t of dry bulk cargo (-31.8%).
Transshipment of import cargo fell by 9.7% to 530,180 t including 175,460 t of packaged cargo (-2.5%), 75,770 t of dry bulk cargo (+8.1%) and 163,030 t of liquid bulk cargo (-18.4%).
Transshipment of transit cargo grew by 6.4% to 558,320 t, inland traffic dropped by 35% to 125,840 t.
Transshipment of containers climbed by 13.5% to 117,720 TEUs, transshipment of automobiles plunged by 73.4% to 253 units.
The number of calls climbed by 0.2% to 410 calls.

Port of Kotka comprises ports of Mussalo, Hietanen, Kantasatama, berth Puolanlaituri (Polish berth), berth Halla, and also port premises Sunila. Port of Hamina is the eastern port of Finland located 35 km from the Russian border. In 2016, the port handled 13.4 mln t of cargo.
