SPIEF guests visited KSRC test facilities
On May 24 and 25, participants of SPIEF-2018 visited KSRC. According to KSRC press release, during the days of the Forum, KSRC guests were Yury Kokov, Head of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic; Vyacheslav Bitarov, Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania; Rashid Temrezov, Head of the Karachay Cherkess Republic; Oleg Belaventsev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal District; Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Victor Chirkov, Chief Counsellor to the President of United Shipbuilding Corporation, and also senior representatives of BARS Group, and namely: Nikolay Kormilitsyn, Director General; Yury Kormilitsyn, Deputy Director General; and also three representatives of Ak Bars company: Renat Mistakhov, Director; Ivan Yegorov; Yury Khaliullin, Rear Admiral.
KSRC guests were familiarized with unique capabilities of our Training & Simulation Complex, Electrotechnical Test Rig, where the tests of electric propulsion system for LK-60 icebreaker have already started; Landscape Wind Tunnel, where transportation of shipping archs for Kerch Strait Bridge had been simulated, and also with the capabilities of KSRC Pressure Chambers, Ice Basin, and Rotating-Arm Basin.

The Krylov Centre responsibilities cover the full scope of ship qualities including seaworthiness, strength, powering, acoustics, electromagnetic signatures, nuclear & radiation safety, definition of ship concepts meeting the combination of the above requirements.
