North-Western Shipping Company took part in Breakbulk Europe 2018
Between May 29 and May 31, PAO North-Western Shipping Company and its subsidiary, OOO Volgo-Baltic Logistic, took part in the Annual Breakbulk Europe Transportation Conference&Exhibition, for the ninth time. The event traditionally held in Antwerp has been hosted by Bremen this year. The port of Bremen is a significant logistic hub for different industries.
The Europe’s largest exhibition dedicated to transportation of oversize and overweight cargo gathered more than 500 professional exhibitors from 100 countries worldwide representing the segments of maritime and road vehicle logistics, port service, equipment and devices for transportation, loading and unloading.
NWSC says the exhibition area of North-Western Shipping Company and Volgo-Baltic Logistic at the Breakbulk Europe attracted lots of specialists. The companies’ services on transportation of a wide range of cargoes to sea and river ports of Europe, Asia and Africa were presented in details at the exhibition stand as well as the company’s capabilities to deliver project/oversize/general cargo by river-sea class vessels and ATB units.
PAO North-Western Shipping Company, is the largest carrier in the Russian system of waterways, specializing on the export and import shipping of bulk, general and project cargoes, towages of oversized cargo and crafts. The company provides a full range of transport services on the inland waterways of Russia and international sea traffic. The company operates a fleet of 47 river/sea class vessels, 10 sea class vessels and 3 Ro-Ro «river-sea» barges. Total deadweight of the Company's fleet is 288,000 tonnes. About 70% of the fleet was built between 2002 and 2013. Average age of the company’s fleet is 17.5 y.o. The company transports about 5 mln t of cargo per year.
NWSC is part of VBTH, a shipping division of the international transport group UCL Holding that consolidates several Russian shipping, railway, stevedore and logistics companies. The division also comprises Volga Shipping Company, V.F.Tanker and a number of shipbuilding assets.
