Throughput of port Kavkaz in 5M’18 up 37% Y-o-Y to 15.34 million tonnes
In January-May 2018, port Kavkaz handled 15,341 million tonnes of cargo (+37%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 49% to 4.951 million tonnes.
Transshipment of grain surged 3-fold to 6.941 million tonnes, coal – up 58% to 600,000 tonnes, oil products – down 14% to 3.150 million tonnes, sulphur – down 2.6 times to 277,000 tonnes.
Exports from the port dropped by 47% to 277,000 tonnes, imports – grew by 17% to 49,300 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 37% to 9.928 tonnes.
In the 5-month period, passenger traffic declined by 2% to 1,165,691 passengers.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 36% to 109,000 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz grew by 19% to 10,436 calls.
