Vympel Shipyard delivers 50th fast patrol boat of Project 12150 Mangust to Russian FSB Border Service
Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region based AO Vympel Shipyard (a company of Concern Kalashnikov) says it has delivered yet another fast patrol boat of Project 12150, Mangust (Mongoose) to Russian FSB Border Service.
The acceptance/delivery certificate was signed upon completion of the mooring, sea and state trials.
The boat will be delivered to the place of duty in the Black Sea and will start performing its border control functions.
The newly delivered Mangust (Hull number 02654) launched on 18 May 2018 is the 75th boat in the series and the 50th built for FSB Border Service.
The Mangust class fast patrol cutters (Project 12150) designed by Almaz Design Bureau are intended to be on duty for frontier safety, to support on-call actions conducted within territorial waters, to monitor the vessels’ compliance with regulations governing the shipping conditions within the outer and inner harbours and ports, to perform missions falling within the scope of duties of maritime law enforcement agencies, customs and fishery protection authorities.
