The frigate Admiral Essen, Black Sea Fleet, has completed its missions as part of permanent Naval force grouping in the Mediterranean Sea and headed to Sevastopol, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
At present, the ship is sailing through the Bosporus and Dardanelles heading to the Black Sea towards Sevastopol.
During the cruise in remote maritime domain, the ship carried out various trainings on individual warfare and as part of task force. The drills involved gunfire at surface and air targets and anti-submarine missions.
The frigate Admiral Essen has performed tasks as part of the Russian Navy’s group in the Mediterranean Sea since March 2018.
The ship will have arrived at the port of Sevastopol by the end of the week.
