Yamal LNG says it has shipped the third million tons of liquified natural gas (LNG) produced at its first LNG train. The milestone ton was loaded on an ice class tanker as part of the 41st batch shipped from December 2017 when the first train was put into operation.
With the beginning of summer navigation season on the Northern Sea Route which started in July, LNG can be shipped to APR countries by Arc7 ice class carriers without icebreaker support. Besides, tankers of lower ice class can be used.
On July 22, Yamal welcomed Russia’s ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary as was agreed by RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region. Social and economic potential of the Arctic region was presented to the delegation.
