A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, Mr. Rauf Veliyev, and the founder and director of the “Marine Container Services” Pvt Ltd, Captain Mr. Somesh Batra, says press center of ACSC.
During the meeting, Mr. Rauf Veliyev provided the guest with comprehensive information about the company he leads. He further announced that the 160th jubilee of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company will be celebrated on these days. The company with three centuries of experience, at present, continues its activities in accordance with modern requirements and is strengthening its position in the field of maritime transport day after day.
Rauf Veliyev particularly emphasized that the ACSC, being only ferry operator in the Caspian, is also distinguished for the diversity and functionality of its fleet. As a unique shipping company it plays an active role in cargo transportation as well as provides various types of ships services in oil and gas projects.
Chairman of the Shipping Company spoke about projects implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of transport and logistics under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the development of the shipbuilding always remains in the spotlight of the head of the state.
The head of the Shipping company informed the guest about the successful activity and importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. He said that the activities of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” as a single group of legal entities already provides benefit.
In his turn, Mr. Somesh Batra spoke about the company that he represents and its activities. He said that “Marine Container Services” has been operating for many years. Together with experienced and professional team, the company has strong partners in China, Italy, Singapore, Dubai, and so on. The company representative, who provided information about their projects, said they were ready to build cooperation with the ACS.
During the meeting views on issues of bilateral cooperation were widely discussed.
