In January-October 2018, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport OJSC) handled 3.77 million tonnes of different cargo (+14.3%, year-on-year), says the stevedoring company.
In the reporting period, the company handled 245,400 tonnes of fish (+17.9%), 148,306 ТЕUs of containers (+15.9%) and 383,200 tonnes of metal (+20.4%).
In the reporting period, transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 19% with transshipment of construction cargoes having surged 5-fold.
In October, the company handled 84 ships (+35%) with 422,700 tonnes of cargo (+24%).
The highest growth was registered in handling of vessels carrying fish - 25 ships (+32%).Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port JSC is one of the leading ports in Russia’s Far East able to handle up to 5 million tonnes of cargo per year including more than 200,000 TEUs. It is located on the southern coast of the nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The quay line of 10 berths which is 2,020 m long, 10 km of railway lines and 3 locomotives enable the company to handle 71 wagons per day. In 2017, the company handled 3.98 mln t of cargo (+19.6%).
