GC Palmaliis getting ready for tendering Russian shipyards to build 10,000 tons dwt tankers. As PortNews IAA learnt from the company, the following enterprises are considered: Shipbuilding-shiprepair shipyard of III International OJSC (Astrakhan), Admiralty Shipyards OJSC (St.-Petersburg), Baltiisky Zavod OJSC (St.-Petersburg), Shipyard Kama OJSC (Perm), Astrakhan Korabel OJSC (Astrakhan), Shipyard Krashye Barricady OJSC (Astrakhan), Okskaya Shipyard OJSC (Navashino, Nizhegorodskaya region), Onega Shipyard OJSC (Petrozavodsk), Severnaya Verf Shipbuilding Plant OJSC (St.-Petersburg), Sevmash OJSC (Severodvinsk), Volgograd Shipyard OJSC (Volgograd), Vyborg Shipyard OJSC (Leningrad region), Shipyard Yantar OJSC (Kaliningrad) and Zelenodolsk Shipyard (Zelenodolsk).
GC Palmali is specialized in cargo freight in the Mediterranean, Caspian and Black Seas. The shipping line is oil and petroleum products freighter within Southern Russian rivers. In October, 2009 GC Palmali signed a contract with Besiktas Gemi Insaa Anonim Sirketi (Turkey) for building of third range 'Armada' tankers (about 7,000 tons dwt).
