Poland remains negative towards Nord Stream, Donald Tusk

The position of Poland did not change even after Sweden and Finland agreed to Nord Stream gas pipeline routing in the bottom of the Baltic Sea, informed PRIME-TASS with reference to Donald Tusk, Prime-Minister of Poland. As per Prime-Minister, ‘Poland will explain Europe obvious things’.

As soon as the gas pipeline is  put into commission ‘importance and significance of transit states can decrease,’ highlighted Tusk. ‘It is impossible for us to accept such a beginning’.

He as well added, he expected Sweden to agree on Nord Stream gas pipeline routing in its economic zone.

It is necessary to remind, Governments of Sweden and Finland agreed on Nord Stream gas pipeline routing in their waters. It is necessary to obtain approval of Russia and Germany to commence pipeline construction. Denmark gave its agreement on October 20, 2009.
