CMA CGM adds Singapore call to round-the-world PEX3

Shipping giant CMA CGM has announced it is adding a Singapore call to its round-the-world PEX 3 service, which runs from Asia to the US Gulf via Panama, on to east coast ports then to the Mediterranean through Suez and then to the Far East.
From November 11, CMA CGM said it would offer a direct connection between Houston and Singapore on the PEX3 which deploys ten 4,589-TEU ships from which China Shipping buys slots.
"By adding Singapore, customers now will have direct and timely access to this very important domestic and transshipment market," said CMA CGM North American president Jean Philippe Thenoz.
The PEX3 rotation will be Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen (Chiwan), Hong Kong, Manzanillo, Houston, Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Tangiers, Jebel Ali, Singapore and Shanghai.
