Byelorussian party expressed its clear political will on closer co-operation with Latvia in the sphere of transit, states Baltic Course with reference to LETA agency that interviewed Maris Riekstin’sh, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Riekstin’sh pointed out Alexander Lukashenko, President of Byelorussia, ‘especially highlighted’ interest of Byelorussians to use transit services provided by Latvia at a meeting with Byelorussian mass-media. As per the him, it is important Latvian services to be compatible at a Baltic level, as the political will is not everything.
It is necessary to remind, Maris Riekstin’sh was on a working visit to Byelorussia on November 3, 2009.
