Optimist LLC (Arkhangelsk) commenced construction of a shipyard complex in Arkhangelsk. Investment into the project is estimated RUR 800 mln, stated Neftegasexpert with reference to resource in Arkhangelsk region.
As per the resource, the complex will be constructed on the basis of the existing capacities of ship-repair plant (SRZ) Krasnaya Kuznitsa that went bankrupt. Design-and-estimate documents were elaborated by Morniiproekt.
‘It is planned to reequip the existing staples of SRZ into a shipyard complex under the design that will allow carrying out vessels repair and maintenance, auxiliary ships building, steelworks sections producing for drilling platforms on a 24-month basis. The construction will be over in 20 months, payback period is 7 years,’ informed government representative.
He as well highlighted Optimist LLC intends to invest its own funds into the project and is interested in co-investors: it will enable speed up construction process.
Optimist LLC was founded in 1991. The company is occupied in building and repair of auxiliary fleet, bulk-carriers, 4,000 tons dwt. tankers, manufacturing of large-sized metalworks of overall weight up to 1.5 thousand tons annually.
