Russian petroleum products export via off-harbour complex of St.-Petersburg port to amount 3.5 mln tons in 2009 navigation

Export volumes of Russian petroleum products via a transhipment complex at an external off-harbour complex of St.-Petersburg port is estimated to amount to 3,490,000 tons of fuel oil and vacuum gas-oil (VGO) in 2009 navigation, stated Valerii Eliseev, CEO of In-Transit CJSC (a stevedoring company that carries out off-harbour transhipment, in the interview with PortNews IAA. As per him, VGO transhipment is already over and ‘Skip Jack’ storage tanker left its 5А anchorage in St-Petersburg (outside Kronshtadt), fuel-oil transhipment will last till November 15, 2009 (‘Vladimir Tikhonov’ and ‘Sayan’ storage tankers).

617,000 tons fell onto BGO out of overall volume of export petroleum products transhipment in 2009 navigation. Overall volume of petroleum products transhipment via In-Transit exceeded 3.2 mln tons since navigation beginning (early May, 2009) the date через.


In 2009 petroleum products are delivered by sea fleet to the off-harbour complex of In-Transit CJSC from oil refineries of Ufa, Samara, Nizhnekamsk to be  exported. Starting from 2006 one stevedoring company works at the off-harbour port of St.-Petersburg. It is In-Transit CJSC that installed three storage tankers in 2008 as well as in 2009. Petroleum products export (fuel-oil and VGO) via In-Transit  amounted to 3.1 mln tons in 2008.
