Export duty on Russian oil to be $271 per a ton from December 1, 2009

Export duty on Russian oil will sooner increase up to $271 per a ton from December 1, 2009.  As per Alexandr Sakovich, Head of Analytical department of RF Ministry of Finance, it comes out of the formula of export duty calculation defined in the law on customs tariffs.

‘Average monitoring price amounted to $75.97881 per a barrel since October 15 to November 14,’stated RIA-Novosti.

Thus, proceeding from the formula, a marginal rate may amount to $271,095 per a ton from December, and will probably be set forth at a level of $271 per a ton.

Rate of duty for petroleum products will as well increase from December. It will amount to $194.9 per a ton for light petroleum products against $168.1 per a ton, set in November, for dark - $105 per a ton against current $90.5 per a ton. An ultimate duty rate will be defined by the according RF Government regulation.
