Net profit of Ust-Luga Company JSC (Leningrad region) down by 36%, Q I-III 2009

Net profit of Ust-Luga Company JSC (Leningrad region) decreased by 35.98% (to RUR145.778 mln) under RAS within 9-month period of 2009 as compared to the corresponding period of 2008, witnessed accounting report data of the enterprise. In January-September, 2009 company’s income reduced by 9.75% (to RUR310.016 mln) against the corresponding period figure of 2008.

Income reduction of the company was to the greater part influenced by decrease of sand-and-gravel mix volumes sold as well as reduction of incomes from implementation of services on link to the power supply networks and power transmitting, link to the water supply system that was not compensated by agent fee increase and lease of tow-boats stated the message.

Ust-Luga Company JSC was established in 1992 for implementation of a project on construction of Russia’s new commercial seaport in the Gulf of Finland. Ust-Luga Company JSC has several lines of activity related to creation of the largest in Russia multipurpose commercial seaport Ust-Luga and complex social-economic development of the territories adjacent to the port.
The largest shareholders of the company are Novyje resursy CJSC (20.04%), Leningrad Region (25% of shares + 1 share).
