A cooperation agreement between Gasflot LLC (affiliate of Gasprom OJSC) and United Shipping Corporation OJSC (USC) was signed under activities of the both parties aimed at construction of two shipping yards in Primorskiy Kray. As per press-centre of Gasprom, there are basic agreement on building of supplying vessels, floating drilling platforms and tankers-gas-carriers reflected in the agreement.
‘The signed agreement opens new opportunities for development of national shipbuilding in Primorskiy Kray, creation of new working places and social infrastructure development. It suffice to say that the agreement became an important step in implementation of East gas program,’ pointed out Alexandr Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gasprom administration.
It is necessary to remind that Gasprom OJSC program schedule on hydrocarbons resources development on the RF shelf by 2030 envisages demand in over 10 drilling and technological platforms, over 60 vessels and floating units of different design as well as 23 tankers-gas-carriers by 2020.
There are the following construction works carried out in Severodvinsk (Arkhangelsk region) to the date: FGUP PO Sevmash – marine ice-breaking stationary platform Prirazlomnaya, FGUP CS Zvezdochka (Arkhangelsk region) – self-lifting drilling system Arkticheskaya , Vyborg Shipbyard OJSC (Leningrad region) – semi-submersible drilling system Severnoe Siyanie and Polyarnaya Zvezda.
