Shipbuilding plant Severnaya Verf OJSC (St.-Petersburg, a part United Industrial Corporation, OPC) has signed a protocol of acceptance of supply vessel hull of marine drilling platforms VS 485 PSV Troms Artemis (plant number N695) by Solvik Hull Supplies AS (Norway). As per the plant press-service, on November 23 Customer’s towboat commenced towing of Troms Artemis to Norway, where the vessel will be completed at Hellesoy Verft shipyard (Rosendal).
The basis of the contract was to build the hull with all the steelworks, 100% pipes installation and painting of the vessel.
There are works on building of supply vessels of marine drilling platforms, design VS 470/485 PSV MkII currently carried out for Norwegian Customers.
In addition to the hull and system construction, voluminous painting works, assembly and testing of the equipment, electrical and start up works with marine testing in the water area of the Gulf of Finland and the Baltic Sea are works are being carried out within the order.
Supply vessel of marine drilling platforms VS 485 PSV Troms Artemis is designed for shipment of drill fluid, bulk and general cargoes on the open deck as well as participation in rescuing operations and fire-fighting at oil refinery platforms under stormy weather conditions of the North Atlantic.
