Vleriy Serdyukov, Governour of Laningrad region, signed a resolution ‘on small size vessels navigation closing in water objects of Leningrad region’ since November 20, 2009. As per the information provided by press-service of the regional administration, the regulation was adopted ‘due to average daily temperature decrease, wind-and-wave conditions degradation and ice-formation beginning in the water objects’ as well as ‘to provide safety control of small size vessels operation in water objects of Leningrad region’.
The regulation as well contains instructions directed to administrations of municipal units ‘on measures preventing harm infliction to people’s life, death cases in small size vessels operation in water objects of Leningrad region taking into consideration local climate conditions’.
