4.2 mln tons of oil products in 2009, 6.7 mln tons – in 2010 to be transported via Sever oil pipeline

It is planned to transport 4.2 mln tons of oil products in 2009, 6.7 mln tons – in 2010 via Sever oil pipeline, stated PortNews IAA journalist with reference to Alexandr Zlatnikov, Vice-President of Transnefteproduct AC OJSC (operating the pipeline), that reported at an international  congress Oil Terminals 2009. As per him, Sever will be able to work at its 8.4 mln tons designed capacity   already upon completion of Nizhne-Kamsk NPZ project implementation envisaging construction of pipeline branches.

The project of oil products pipeline Kstovo – Yaroslavl – Kirishi – Primorsk (Sever project) is approved by the RF Government in 2002. The oil products pipeline is routed through 7 regions of Russia: Nizhegorordskaya, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Tver’, Novgorod and Leningrad ones. The oil products pipeline is linked to a terminal in Primorsk seaport (Leningrad region), designed for receiving, storage and export shipment of diesel fuel.
