Possible fees cuts by rail-ferry transportation operators on ferry line Baltiysk-Sassnitz

The cost of transportation can be reduced by all operators of rail-ferry transportation on ferry line Baltiysk-Sassnitz. The issue will be considered at the VI meeting of the combined road and rail passenger-cargo ferry line Ust-Luga-Baltic-Sassnitz, the Russian Railways press release reads. Besides, the issues of ferry schedule and the number of vessel calls ferries in 2010during the meeting was expected to address.
Since the Baltiisk - Ust-Luga ferry line started operating, at least 16,095 wagons (754 thousand 715 tons of cargo) have been transported. The major cargoes carried here: food goods, cakes, manufactured goods and petroleum products. This year, 309 cars (6900 tons), 187 of them loaded and 122 empty have been transported on the route. Those were largely construction goods. At that over 50 passengers cars of a high-speed train "Sapsan” (Peregrin).
