Several days ago, a joint Georgian-U.S. short-term Naval exercise has started focused on rescue operations at sea and combating illegal migration. The exercise involves the U.S. Navy’s John Hall frigate carrying guided missiles, docked at Poti Port. The Georgian-USA exercises continue until March 5th.
As the Russian Border Service says, these G-US maneuvers give rise to concerns. The Russian military experts said the presence of the U.S. warships at the scene was just an attempt to frustrate the Black Sea Fleet exercises.
