"Today we’re introducing a bill to go through executive bodies of the federal government", Victor Olersky was quoted as saying. He briefly explained the essence of the initiative: "want to receive tax and other preferences – build in Russia."

As PortNews has previously reported, a RF Ministry of Transport working group involving representatives of federal executive authorities and the businesses prepared a draft of a new federal law "On measures to support the shipping and shipbuilding”. Victor Olersky noted the initiative of the Ministry of Transport was well-timed, and that there were "substantial grounds to believe that eventually it will be approved and passed in the State Duma."
