On April 1st Janine van Oosten is to become the new harbormaster of Amsterdam, the Port of Amsterdam website reports.
Since December 2008 Janine has been head of the port’s Traffic Control. Previously (as of 1995) she was (interim) manager, advisor and trainer in the field of human resource and change management, spending the last five years as a consultant.
Janine van Oosten will be succeeding Astrid Kee as head of the Nautical Sector at the Port of Amsterdam, harbormaster and director of Central Nautical Management.
“I believe the Nautical Sector is the facilitator of shipping and flows of goods. It is my ambition to further work out and intensify the internal and external cooperation. I see professional skills and passion all around me and truly look forward to giving further shape to what Astrid Kee has accomplished so far,” Janine van Oosten was quoted as saying.
