Pella Shipyard to build 3 tugs for Russian Defense Ministry

Pella Leningrad Shipyard OJSC (St. Petersburg) has signed a govt. contract for building and delivery of three tugboats of 90600 project for Russian Defense Ministry. The ships will be launched in 2010-2011, the company statement said.

The 90600 project tugboat was designed for port, offshore and coastal operations, as well as for fire-fighting, oil spills and other operations. The vessel specifications: length – 25.5 m, breadth – 8.8 m, depth – 4.6 m, draft – 3.5 m, speed - 12 knots, drawbar force - 20-36 tons.

Pella Shipyard was founded in 1950. In 1992, the company was privatized. The Company is a Holding including the head office and a number of subsidiaries.
