Seaport of St. Petersburg posts a 11.8% net income cut, 41.844m rubles for 2009

Net profit of Seaport of St. Petersburg OJSC (RAS) for 2009 decreased by 11.8% compared to the previous fiscal year, to 41 million 844 thousand rubles, the official report of the company said.
The company reports it had 10.716 million rubles net loss in the IV quarter of 2009 (Q4, 2009) against 30.973 million rubles net income in Q3. The company said the loss was due to the growth in operating expenses.

Seaport of St. Petersburg is the largest group of stevedoring companies providing services at the port of St. Petersburg and in Russia’s North-West. The Company was founded on the basis of the Leningrad Commercial seaport. The Group incorporates First Stevedoring Company CJSC, Second Stevedoring Company CJSC, Third Stevedoring Company CJSC, Fourth Stevedoring Company CJSC, and several service companies. Net income of Seaport of St. Petersburg in 2008 totaled 47.458 million rubles.
