MSC introduces fees on containers self-delivered from ports of St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk, from April 19

The fees for self-delivered containers at the Russian ports of St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk on the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC, Switzerland) the lines are introduced from April 19, 2010, the Mediterranean Shipping Company Rus statement said.

 

The fees will be collected from dry containers ($15 a container of any size) and refrigerated containers ($35 a container of any size) containers. VAT is charged in excess of these rates. The MSC official statement does not specify the reason for imposing the fees.

Mediterranean Shipping Company, based in Switzerland, is the second global containers operator.
