BaltTransService exports 1,411m tons of oil in Q1,2010, up 26%

In the first quarter of 2010 the Terminal of BaltTransService LLC. (TransNefteProduct, the port of Primorsk, Leningrad region) has shipped for export 1 million 410.6 tons of light oil (diesel), a 26% rise over the same period in 2009, Yuri Matvienko, Director General of BaltTransService said in an interview with PortNews IAA.

Mr. Matvienko said the Company’s grown volumes were possible because the terminal had reached its projected full capacity.

The petroleum products terminal at the port of Primorsk was launched in May 2008. The first phase of the terminal was designed for handling more than 8 million tons/year of light oil transported via the Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk pipeline (project "North"). In 2009 the terminal handled 4.3 million tons of oil.
