The Q1,2010 loaded and shipped volumes include 74.462.000 tons of coal, a 14.4% rise over Q1, 2009, coke – 3.070.000 tons, a 67.5% spike, oil and petroleum products – 62.471.000 tons (+9.1 %), iron and manganese ore – 24.015.000 tons (+19.1%), ferrous metals – 17.378.000 tons (+16.5%), ferrous metals – 3.274.000 tons (+33.5%), chemical and mineral fertilizers – 11.631.000 tons (+25.7%), cement – 4.916.000 tons (+1.4%), timber cargo – 10.732 000 tons (+8.6%), construction cargoes – 23.699.000 tons (+0,8%), ferrous and sulfur raw materials – 5.897.000 tons (+17.6%), chemicals and soda – 7.071.000 tons (+30.9%), industrial raw materials and molding materials – 7.580.000 tons (+51%), containerized goods – 4.004.000 tons (+22.4%).
In March Russian railroads have seen a 10.7-percent growth over March 2009, at 103.1 million tons, RZD statement said.
In 2009 Russian Railways reported a year-over-year 15-percent drop in freight volumes, at 1 billion 108.2 million tons.
