Container volumes by Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT) reached 61.779 TEUs in the first quarter this year, a 47% spike from to the same period last year, the stevedoring company statement said.
In March 2010 containers turnover was at 20.919 TEUs. The company handled 8.938 of outbound containerized cargoes, 5.066 TEUs of inbound cargoes and 7.552 TEUs of coastal trade. In March the company loaded and offloaded 38 ships, 2 units less than in February. Average turnover a vessel amounted to 567 TEUs.
