PKN Orlen to decide over Orlen Lietuva sale this April

PKN Orlen, a Polish oil company will decide this April over Orlen Lietuva sale, The Baltic Course reported citing the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna publication. The Orlen future depends on negotiations with the  Lithuania Govt.

PKN Orlen wants Lithuanian Railways to have oil supplies tariffs reduced en route Klaipeda and Latvia. The oil transportation tariffs are above the average rates in Europe, says Executive Director of PKN Orlen Jacek Krawiec. Besides, he says, the Mazeikiai-Latvian ports railroad branch has not been repaired since September 2008.

The largest in Poland state-run PKN Orlen Refinery acquired Orlen Lietuva (former Mazeikiu nafta) in 2006.
