In the 1st quarter of 2010 (Q1, 2010) grain volumes handled by Ventspils Grain Terminal (Latvia) increased as much as 2.2 times from Q1 2009, to 251.500 tons. Of overall volumes 63.000 tons of wheat from Kazakhstan were exported, the VGT statement said.
In Q2 the company plans to continue the export of Kazakhstan wheat to Egypt. In April-May the Company has scheduled shipment of over 120.000 tons of grain.
