In the first quarter 2010 (Q1,2010) trade flows through Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC shrank by 12% as compared with Q1, 2009, to 3.339 million tons, PortNews IAA reports citing the company’s provisional data.

The company’s 3.000m-long 17 berths deep enough for 265m-long, 15.5m-draft ships to dock for loading, offloading operations. In 2009 the stevedoring company handled 15.1 million tons of cargoes. Cyprus Specialized Project Investments BV holds 63.53% of ordinary stocks in Murmansk CSP. The Russian Govt. owns a 34% stake in the company.
