International Ecological Congress Oil Spill Control Congress will be held on May 20-21 this year in Sochi, PortNews IAA reports citing the organizing committee press office.
The Congress will be focused on urgent issues of oil products spillage prevention and its aftereffect, the state-of-the-art equipment and technologies for ecology safety. The Congress has been endorsed by the Federal Service for Ecology, Technology and Nuclear Supervision (RosTekhNadzor).
Top officials of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, representatives of the international environmental organizations, representatives of major companies in the industry, TNK-BP, LUKOIL, Gazprom Neft, Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport OJSC, FSUE RosMorPort Ltd., Seaport of Tuapse, Tuapse Seaport Authority are expected to be speaking at the Congress.
The Congress will be attended by representatives of major oil companies, oil ports, oil refineries, as well as specialists of civil defense and emergencies, emergency and rescue services, leading manufacturers of environmental equipment, environmental organizations and associations design and research institutes, Russian and foreign scientists.
