Sales of new passenger cars, pickup trucks in Russia in the 1st quarter of 2010 shrank by 25% as compared with Q1, 2009 to 293.030 units. This March the number fell 7% from Mar.,2009 - to 126.701 thousand units, the AEB, Association of European Businesses’ Automobile Manufacturers Committee statistics said.

AEB Committee’s car sales forecast said there would be up to 1.6 million autos sold in Russia this year, (against previously predicted 1.5 million cars), including passenger cars, up to 1.45 million units.
