Muuga CT, the first terminal CTQI certified in the Baltic Sea

Germanischer Lloyd has certified Muuga Container Terminal (Muuga CT) (Container Terminal in Muuga, Tallinn, Estonia), handed over to the MCT authorities the certificate of compliance with quality standard - Container Terminal Quality Indicator (CTQI), GL statement said.

The Muuga CT’s scope of certification covers operational, technical and administrative processes associated with import, export and transit containers.

The Germanischer Lloyd statement said Muuga CT became the first certified Container Terminal in the Baltic Sea. According to the register, the terminal sees annually 956 ships, including 415 container vessels and more than 500 Ro-Ro ships. The Terminal’s overall exports make up 42%, export and transit, 29% each, in the total container throughput of Muuga CT.
