FSC reports successful handling of large-sized cargo

Specialists of the First Stevedoring Company (part of the Sea Port of St. Petersburg) have successfully transshipped two 35-m 130-ton autoclaves, the Company’s press release said. The autoclaves had been delivered on Kholmogory ship from Antwerp to the pier N9 of FSC. The cargo is intended for the Bashkir Plant producing reinforced concrete and silicate blocks, the Company said.

The 6-hour offloading and loading operation was carried out by the FSC’s handling equipment including two Condor twin cranes of lifting capacity of 40 tons. The autoclaves have been transported by railroad to its destination.

The Sea Port of St. Petersburg Group, part of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding, incorporates First Stevedoring Company CJSC, Second Stevedoring Company CJSC, Third Stevedoring Company CJSC, Fourth Stevedoring Company CJSC, and several service companies.
