Exports of fish, seafood from Russian Primorye, up 1.9 times to $185.6m in Q1,10

Exports of fish and seafood caught by fishing vessels of Primorsky Territory in exclusive economic zone of Russia in January- March 2010 rose as much 2.2 times from Q1,09, to 146.600 tons, valued $185.6m (+1.9 times). The fish and seafood were exported to 14 countries, Deyta.Ru reports referring to Primorsk regional statistics agency. The major volume, 34.9%, was exported to China (valued $67.9m) and South Korea ($64.9m), to Japan, 10.7% ($19.8m) and 5.9% to the U.S. - $10.9m.
