Russia’s fishery industry showed for 2009 fiscal year a 20% output growth, valued 101.5 billion rubles, the Fed. Govt. press service reported quoting Vice -Premier Viktor Zubkov at the meeting held Saturday. The industry’s net income jumped as much as 5.4 times, to nearly 11 billion rubles.
According to Viktor Zubkov, the industry should immediately start upgrade of the fleet and shore infrastructure, including state-of-the-art processing facilities and improved logistics.
Last year, Mr. Zubkov said, at least 11 seaports’ dock line projects, part of the federal target program, had been developed, construction works started in 2010.
